Why have one unit for storage when you can stack them and have two?
It’s a simple question. During the conversion we have done just that. The photo below shoes the storage ‘tower’ in Bertha.
Getting units to fit the dimensions you have is not always easy. Here, we would have struggled to get one with the right height to suit what we wanted. The simple solution, get one with the right footprint and stack them.
The combo below is two bedside tables on top of each and secured. They make a feature with plenty of space, and combine to be just the right height. Well it is for me anyway… I find it to be the perfect height for wine glasses, and more. And if i’m feeling productive, I will happily stand with my laptop on it and work away.
Secrets hidden out of site
The best part of this storage combo in my eyes is the modifications made to the bottom unit. Because these bedside cabinets were made originally out of good quality wood, they lend them selves nicely to modification. And that’s exactly what has been done.
Stashed in the bottom cupboard is the Bluetti power unit. The wooden structure of the bedside cabinets lends itself nicely to the mods. Cable holes have been cut in both sides, one side for the solar power feed coming in, and AC going out. The other side, holes for power to the boot area, and to the inverter which is hidden under the fridge.
